CHAPTER 1

Chapter 1         Overview In this chapter you learned how today's teachers must be able to integrate technology into their content with as much ease as they have incorporated pencils, paper, and books. Educational technological literacy is a requirement for teachers. We know that children beginning school will experience many changes in the technologies that are a part of the everyday world in which they will grow up. Teachers must be able to adapt instructional practices to the literacies of today and tomorrow. These changes occur at speeds we don't even notice yet they offer exciting and important ways you can present instruction.
